Note these sessions are offered by organizations separate from AACFM, specifically Open Mindfulness Meditation (OMM) and the Cancer Support Community (CSC). Some of the leaders of these guided offerings are also teachers from the Ann Arbor Center for Mindfulness.
The following weekly drop-in meditation sessions are free and open to anyone interested in practicing mindfulness meditation. They provide guided secular meditations led by experienced practitioners, for meditators at all levels of experience, whether beginners or experienced meditators, who want to reinforce their practice.
Open Mindfulness Meditation (OMM)
Join Open Mindfulness Meditation (OMM) in cultivating equanimity, wisdom, and compassion. Free. Open to all: new and experienced meditators. No registration required, just come when you can. Cancer Support Community (CSC) Meditation — Online or In-Person
The Cancer Support Community of Greater Ann Arbor holds professionally facilitated meditation sessions every Tuesday and Thursday. Sessions are led by meditation teachers, including teachers from the Ann Arbor Center for Mindfulness. These free weekly mindfulness meditations are available to anyone impacted by cancer, including survivors, loved ones, and supporters. Beginning and experienced meditators are welcome.
