Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Fall 2022 Virtual Class

MBSR is the mindfulness class developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn which has been extensively researched and found helpful in coping with stress, pain, depression, anxiety, and chronic unhappiness. It started the current wave of mindfulness-based strategies for coping with a wide range of human problems. The class focuses on practicing mindfulness—compassionate awareness of the present moment—in the class and between classes.

Meeting weekly for 2.5 hours for 8 weeks, participants learn through guided meditations, discussions, daily mindfulness practices, and a half-day retreat. The course fee is $300 (scholarships available), which includs recordings of guided meditations, handouts, and the retreat.

Class Schedule:

Free intro: Saturday, September 17, 2:00 pm – 4:30 pm ET
MBSR course: Saturday, September 24 to November 19, 2:00 pm – 4:30 pm ET
Retreat: Saturday, November 5, noon – 4:00 pm ET
