Cultivating Mindfulness for Health and Wellbeing

The Ann Arbor Center for Mindfulness (AACFM) offers classes, retreats, events, and drop-in meditation sessions as well as financial scholarships and mentorships for aspiring mindfulness teachers from underserved communities. For more information on scholarship opportunities, click here.

UPCOMING CLASSES

  • Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) April 2024 Class

    MBSR is the original mindfulness class developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn and is associated with reductions in stress, pain, depression, anxiety, and chronic unhappiness. Read more about the course.

    A complimentary Introduction to Mindfulness and MBSR is offered prior to the 8-week course, which includes concepts, principles, and some basic practices. It is required before the MBSR 8-Week course; exceptions are possible with prior experience and/or the teacher’s approval.

    Schedule: Complimentary Introduction to Mindfulness and MBSR: Wednesday, April 10, 6:30 – 8:00 pm ET
    MBSR 8-Week course: Wednesdays, April 17 – June 5, 6:30 – 9:00 pm ET
    Retreat: Sunday, May 9, 9:00 am – 4:30 pm ET

    Teacher: Brenda Lindsay, CPC, PRP, CPA. MBSR teacher trained through Brown University, Certified Mindfulness Instructor from AIHCP, Certified Yoga Teacher (CYT-200), Council Member of  the Ann Arbor Center for Mindfulness.
